North Fire Protection have been involved in the design and installation of the Fire Sprinkler Installation on the new Fair Isle Bird Observatory.

Fair Isle, which is owned by the National Trust of Scotland, is the most remote habited Island in the UK and home to a population of around only 50 people. The Island is regarded as being one of the best places in Europe to see rare birds, which stop off to rest and feed along their migration routes.

The previous observatory was tragically destroyed by fire in 2019, so its’ been an honour for us to play a role in ensuring that the new building will be safeguarded from any future fire risks.

This week, our Fire Sprinkler tank arrived on the Island after being fully installed locally before being shipped to it’s final destination.
